My name is Szabina Pokoraczki, working with different sectors of kinesiology in Belgium. I have graduated with MSc in Educational Sciences (Curriculum Design and Educational Innovation) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
During my master studies, I particularly learned to develop teaching methodology, to create and develop curriculum and courses. I have also acquired knowledge in coaching and in consultancy, which I used in the last year of my master studies at the Study Guidance Centre at the university for international students.
In parallel, I studied Brain Gym 101-EDU-Kinesiology which aims to enhance learning abilities. After experiencing its effectiveness, I embedded and successfully applied this method in coaching sessions. Since I was an international student before, I encountered the same difficulties and stress factors as international students who I was coaching. Kinesiology and this background made me able to provide them an effective help.
In particular, students with learning difficulties turned to me for help: troubles in attention, lack of motivation, stress caused by study overload, low performance, not realistic expectations in performance, ineffective learning method, exam stress, fears and anxiety that hinder learning effectiveness.
As my knowledge and experience deepened in kinesiology, I became increasingly committed to pursuing a broader spectrum of supporting activities. Besides of learning and performance difficulties, for now I am also engaged with environmental change and other deep-rooted anxieties. Therefore, I am constantly developing myself in the knowledge and practice of other kinesiology sectors both in the case of children and adults.
